Our Next Meeting
The next formal Organizing Committee Planning Meeting will be held after the event
Saturday, May 10, 2008
and will serve as both a CELEBRATION of what just happened and also a Kick-Off Meeting for our 2nd Annual MHG in 2009!! Please mark your calendar.
This will also be VERY IMPORTANT as we are asking each Committee Chairperson to submit a written evaluation report of their particular area along with any other thoughts concerning our first gathering. Everyone involved in playing any part in the April 24, 25 & 26 meeting is encouraged to attend our May 10 Celebration of this momentous event that was finally birthed here in the City of Milwaukee!!
Summary from Last Meeting (04/05/2008)
On Saturday April 5, 2008 the Organizing Committee Planning Meeting of pastors, leaders and intercessors for the Midwest Harvest Gathering met from 9 -11:00 AM at KOHCM on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee. All have a heart-cry for true revival and we prayed for a Sovereign move of the Holy Spirit to come. We prayed that the hindrance to Speaker Pastor John Rajiah’s getting his Visa would disappear. The ensuing intercessory prayer was very powerful.
Then the MHG Committee discussed events and progress on several previous assignments:
- 1. On April 24, 2008 -- for initial setting up for Midwest Harvest Gathering -- the Baton Rogue Exhibit Hall in the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Convention Center will be opened at 10 AM for set up. This gives us 14,400 square feet to host over 1,000 attendees. The doors will be open for the public two hours before the services each day. Vern Ihm is Head of Security and either he or his nominee will have a single key to the Exhibit Hall and will be responsible for opening and closing the doors each meeting day.
- 2. Suzanne Guthrie provided a written report on publicity including information on several radio announcements being aired locally. Sandy Ovshak is updating The Midwest Harvest Gathering website, www.MidwestHarvestGathering.org
- 3. The Elijah List E-Blast which announced our Revival in the Midwest on March 24, 2008 is bringing in pre-registrations regularly. Everyone is urged to pre-register ASAP! Deacon Phil Massey and Terry Moore provided updates on their volunteer efforts to help raise needed money. We prayed that more churches/ministries will help finance the event because the Committee will not go into debt. Currently we have received $4990. The brochures are being distributed liberally and we hope to get more churches to invest in this revolutionary revival that will help bring true revival to America. Will you help financially? Even small contributions from many – churches and caring individuals – would make a big difference. See MHG website or information below for mailing donations. The word must get out! We need to FLOOD our 14,400 sq ft meeting room with hungry, needy hearts!! We will set up 500 chairs for the opening session.
- 4. We are seeking additional designated Intercessors to formally register to be active and gathered together during this three-day event. They should contact Pastor Sherry Sobcoviak (414) 535-8493 or Jean Ihm (414) 305-4160 who are coordinating this assignment. We also need more volunteers to serve each day as ushers and/or staffing the registration desk. They are to volunteer by e-mailing contact@midwestharvestgathering.org
- 5. Pastor Nicole Bowen and Elder Tony Meister will help set up and organize worship/praise teams and other volunteers who will be working with them.
- 6. VERY IMPORTANT -- Pastor Roy Bowen is providing the 2nd and final Altar Worker training session on April 19 from 4 to 6 PM at New Song Church Annex, 3131 S. 100th Street, Milwaukee (just off Oklahoma). At the actual MHG sessions we are expecting new converts and others who will be looking for a church to attend. RIGHT NOW WE NEED MORE REFERRAL CHURCHES throughout the City and suburbs to become actively involved. To be eligible, Pastors or Leaders need to have one or more of their people attend an Altar Worker training session such as the one on April 19, and then new converts and others can be referred to them for discipling. Any church that wants to be involved and sends people to the above-mentioned training sessions should also send in the name of their church contact, address, phone and email address, if available, to

Also see item No. 8, below concerning related church literature. If you have any questions whatsoever, e-mail at contact@midwestharvestgathering.org or call 414.755.8817 and someone will get back to you. - 7. The program format is as follows:
Thursday, April 24, 7 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one to two hours earlier.
Friday, April 25, 7 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one to two hours earlier.
Saturday, April 26, 6 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one to two hours earlier.
Only if Friday night has an overflow crowd, then an 11 AM Saturday session will be announced. The MC duties of each session will be performed by Pastors Roy Bowen, Deborah Paden and Fred Baker. They will also screen any prophetic word before allowing it to come forth. - 8. All literature and handouts from churches desiring to participate, including WRITTEN announcements, must be submitted in writing at least one week before the meeting date in order to seek PRIOR Committee approval. Let them be in hand by April 16, 2008 to Midwest Harvest Gathering, 2627 N. 114th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53226. There will be no announcements unrelated to Midwest Harvest Gathering allowed to be made.
- 9. Members were encouraged to specifically pray and fast for the revival to come, on Wednesdays from morning until supper time. This is biblical preparation for the church to help birth true repentance and judgment.
- 10. All volunteers were thanked for their efforts and prayer. The Holy Spirit is moving us forward.
