Our Next Meeting
Saturday, April 5, 2008
9:00 to 10:30 am
9235 West Capitol Drive, Lower Level Suites, Milwaukee
Summary from Last Meeting (03/08/2008)
On Saturday March 8, 2008 the Organizing Committee of pastors, leaders and intercessors for the Midwest Harvest Gathering met from 9 -10:30am at KOHCM on Capitol Drive in Milwaukee. All have a heart-cry for true revival. Chuck Pierce’s timely March 6, 2008 e-mail was read, entitled The Voice of Change is Stirring Us to Come Up from the Wilderness! The ensuing intercessory prayer was very powerful.
Then the MHG Committee discussed events and progress on several previous assignments:
- 1. We were blessed by the Lord with a great facility for the April 24-26, 2008 Midwest Harvest Gathering. The Baton Rogue Exhibit Hall in the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport Hotel & Convention Center gives us 14,400 square feet to host over 1,000 attendees.
- 2. Suzanne Guthrie gave a report on publicity. Radio announcements will begin on Monday, March 10, and the brochure, posters and registration material for distribution are being finalized. Sandy O is updating The Midwest Harvest Gathering website, www.MidwestHarvestGathering.org
- 3. Look for The Elijah List Blast which will announce our Revival in the Midwest on March 24, 2008. Watch for it! Deacon Phil Massey and Terry Moore provided updates on their volunteer efforts to help raise needed money. We prayed that more churches/ministries will help finance the event because the Committee will not go into debt. Currently we have received only $3690, of which $990 was paid for the Elijah List Blast and $1,500 for the Wyndham Hall rental. The question was raised as to how to get churches to invest in a revolutionary revival that will decimate hell’s gates and change the entire moral environment to become a Godly one. Will you help financially? Even small contributions from many – churches and caring individuals – would make a big difference. See MHG website or information below for mailing donations. The word must get out! We need to FLOOD our 14,400 sq ft meeting room with hungry, needy hearts!!
- 4. We are seeking additional intercessors to formally register to be active during this three-day event. Please contact Pastor Sherry Sobcoviak (414)535-8493 or Jean Ihm (414)305-4160 who are coordinating this assignment.
- 5. Pastor Roy Bowen will help organize worship/praise teams and volunteers to help him with the event.
- 6. We need more volunteers to serve each day as ushers, staffing the registration desk and intercessors. Volunteer by e-mailing contact@midwestharvestgathering.org unless otherwise specified herein.
- 7. Pastor Roy Bowen will provide two altar worker training sessions, on March 29 from 9 to 11 AM at Kingdom of Heaven Christian Ministries, 9235 W. Capitol Drive, and on April 19 from 4 to 6 PM at New Song Church Annex, 3131 S. 100th Street, Milwaukee. We need to identify area churches that new converts can be referred to for discipling. Any church that desires to disciple new converts or provide altar workers needs to send in the name of their church contact, address, phone and email address to Midwest Harvest Gathering, 2627 N. 114th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53226 or to contact@midwestharvestgathering.org and attend one of the training sessions.
- 8. The program format is as follows: Thursday, April 24, 7 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one hour earlier. Friday, April 25, 7 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one hour earlier. Saturday, April 26, 6 PM, with intercessors, registration and ushers being there one hour earlier. Only if Friday night has an overflow crowd, then an 11 AM Saturday session will be announced. The MC duties of each session will be performed by Pastors Fred Baker, Deborah Paden and Roy Bowen. They will also screen any prophetic word before allowing it to come forth.
- 9. All literature and handouts from churches desiring to participate, including announcements, must be submitted in writing at least one week before the meeting date to seek Committee approval. Let it be in hand by April 16, 2008 to Midwest Harvest Gathering, 2627 N. 114th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53226. There will be no announcements unrelated to Midwest Harvest Gathering allowed to be made.
- 10. Members were encouraged to specifically pray and fast for the revival to come, on Wednesdays from morning until supper time. This is biblical preparation for the church to help birth true repentance and judgment.
- 11. All revival-hungry people are encouraged to invite pastors/leaders/intercessors who have a heart for unity and true revival to attend the next Organizing Committee Planning Meeting on April 5, with no strings attached regarding this MHG event.
- 12. All volunteers were thanked for their efforts and prayer. The Holy Spirit is moving us forward.
